As the official implementation of the .eu registrar Code of Conduct approaches, EURid invites accredited registrars to present themselves as candidates for membership of the Interim Council of Conduct. This Council will be responsible for electing the members of the Definite Council of Conduct by way of lottery. Should the number of candidates for the Definite Council prove insufficient; the Interim Council will be also expected to continue to function until such time as the Definite Council has been appointed.
Registrars wanting to present their candidacy for membership of the Interim Council are requested to send an email to conduct@eurid.eu by Monday, 5 March 2007. The email must contain the candidate’s registrar ID and a clear statement that he wishes to be seated on the Interim Council. Please note that presenting your candidacy for the Interim Council of Conduct implies that you will subscribe as soon as possible to the Code.
